This new Netflix documentary vividly depicts the evolution of Robert Kennedy frome a 1950s-era Cold Warrior to his caution on racial issues early in the 60s and eventually his becoming possibly the greatest champioin of civil rights, peace, and combatting poverty at the time of his death 50 years ago this June. Filled with an extraordinary amount of unseen, or rarely seen, footage and audio, it crackles with suspense. In 2018 it makes you wonder, not just what would’ve happend to RFK’s own politcal and moral evolution, but also what could happen to America if our leaders embraced the goal of a more idealized and just society instead of simple electoral victory.
